As part of the Erasmus+ project "In Gianky We Trust", the International Training Course took place in Zagreb from January 28 to 30, 2026, involving youth workers and experts from Croatia, Italy, Slovenia and Spain.
The training, aimed at Youth Workers from the partner organisations, focused on strengthening skills in the design and use of financial education tools adapted for young people on the autism spectrum.
Adapted Materials and Innovative Tools
Over the three days, the adapted educational materials developed within the project (Task 2.2) were presented and tested. These materials are designed to facilitate the learning of financial concepts through concrete, visual and structured activities, aligned with the different levels of support needed.
The Gianky App (Task 2.4) was also officially presented during the training — a mobile application developed to support young people on the autism spectrum in managing everyday financial situations, such as making purchases, using ATMs, planning savings and recognising potential online scams. Participants were able to explore its features, understand the pedagogical logic behind the tool and discuss possible local implementation strategies.
Inclusion and Educational Competences
Special attention was given to adapting content for people with different cognitive profiles, including people with intellectual disabilities, and to reflecting on the role of Youth Workers in promoting financial autonomy and social inclusion. The training combined hands-on practice, collaborative working sessions and spaces for reflection on one's own educational competences and responsibilities.
Youthpass Certification
At the end of the International Training Course, all participants received the Youthpass certificate, recognising the competences acquired through non-formal learning.
